Communication consultant.
Not an expert, because no one really is.
Hi, I am Jovana.
During the first decade of my professional career, I’ve gone through several roles. I started out as a PR manager for an art gallery, then switched to the tech industry. I’ve also tried my luck in the digital departments of several advertising agencies and finished my full-time employment mode by landing the job of my dreams at the Belgrade biotech startup Seven Bridges.
After leaving Seven Bridges in the last trimester of 2017, I started working part-time for an IT company based in Zagreb, Croatia. Within a year, I became fully independent and shifted my focus from marketing, event and project management to communications and consulting.
Of all the different things I have worked on in the past, the field of communication is where I have found true inspiration. As communication is an integral part of our nature, it is difficult to understand we are not good at it on a personal level. When it comes to communication in large systems, at work, between remote teams, it turns out to be even more complex. Communication models and procedures are often neglected and represent only an addition to marketing and human resource departments. Having mapped out this problem, I was motivated to start a communication consultancy business – Comms Coach.
Good to know
My work ethics are all about dedication, respect and fair treatment. The client relations I cultivate are rooted in honesty, so ditch the fake smiles and nods and keep the constructive feedback coming instead.
Head over heels in love with my work, I always try to prioritize family, friends and a healthy lifestyle.
