This event will go down in history as the final event before a state of emergency was announced in Serbia due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On a more personal note, this was the first event I worked on in the National Theatre and for an institution closely tied to the government. It was also a first-timer for me when it comes to government officials who were supposed to attend the event and address the audience. The rounds of preparations and security checks we had to do were beyond my wildest imagination!
